RACE PREVIEW: Bristol Motor Speedway

The GEICO Racing team will enter the Last Great Colosseum on Saturday night to battle for five hundred laps. After sustaining damage early in the spring event and having to fight back to a 28th-place finish, Ty Dillon and his team are looking to gain momentum and finish unscathed.

Dillon will make his fifth Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series start at Bristol on Saturday night. His best finish of 15th place came in the spring of 2017 with the GEICO Racing team. With nine previous starts at the short track in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), Dillon has four top-five and eight top-10 finishes. He will run double duty this weekend when he makes his fifth NXS start of the season on Friday night. He also has three NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts with one top-10 finish of sixth place in 2013.

Dillon Weekend Chatter

What are your thoughts as you prepare for racing at Bristol Motor Speedway?

“I look forward to going to Bristol every year and enjoy every race that I get to run there. It is my favorite track to race at. I’ve been very successful there, and I feel like I know what it takes to get around that track. Things happen quick, and it’s always exciting. I love it, and hopefully we can show up and have a great run for my GEICO Camaro ZL1 team.”

Dillon and his spotter Billy O’Dea will visit the Trackside Live stage on Saturday afternoon to get race day started with the fans!
