The Whale Rides Again at Richmond

vineyard vines Is On Board GEICO Chevrolet SS for Second of Five Races

Mooresville, NC (09-08-2017) - For the second of five races, a bit of Martha's Vineyard is riding along with Germain Racing and driver Casey Mears as the iconic whale of vineyard vines adorns the decklid of the No. 13 GEICO Chevrolet SS this weekend at Richmond International Raceway. The race is the final qualifying race for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitors to make it into end of season playoffs, so fans will be glued to their television sets watching the Federated Auto Parts 400 on NBCSN.

An established lifestyle apparel company, vineyard vines has over 80 stores including locations in Richmond, McLean, Charlottesville, Williamsburg and Leesburg, Virginia.

The No. 13 GEICO Chevy will be on track for opening practice on Friday, September 9th, at 10 a.m. ET. Final practice follows at noonand Coors Light Pole Qualifying is live at 5:30 p.m. All three Friday sessions will broadcast live on NBCSN and MRN. On Saturday, television coverage kicks off at 3:30 PM with NASCAR RaceDay on FS2. The rest of the day belongs to NBCSN on the television side with NASCAR America Saturday at 5 p.m., NASCAR Countdown to Green at 7 p.m. and race coverage at 7:30 p.m. Radio listeners can tune in to their local MRN affiliate or dial in to Sirius/XM Channel 90.
